About APPNIA

Asosiasi Perusahaan Produk Bernutrisi untuk Ibu dan Anak (APPNIA) established to bring active participation of the industry on the implementation of WHO Code and the Ministry of Health Regulation No. 240/Menkes/Per/1985.
Together, the members of APPNIA collaborate with government and other relevant stakeholders to improve the nutrition and health status of mothers and children in Indonesia.

Our Vision

To become a dynamic and credible partner of government and other stakeholders at national and international level in improving the nutrition and health status of mothers and children in Indonesia.

Our Mission

We are aiming to:

Actively support national exclusive breastfeeding program for babies 0-6 months

Ensure all APPNIA member are comply to local regulations and WHO Code in marketing of breast milk substitutes

Providing nutritious and high quality products in accordance with applicable food safety standards

Actively partnering with the government and other relevant stakeholders to improve mother and child nutrition and health

Our History

APPNIA initially known as APMB (Asosiasi Produsen Makanan Bayi) and established on June 10 ,1992 as a joint initiative of Directorate General of Nutrition and Pharmacy, Ministry of Health, and Ministry of Woman Affairs. The organization then renamed to APPNIA (Association of Company of Nutritional Products for Mothers and Children) on August 9, 2011, driven by the fact that there has been continuous development in food science and technology.
